Mikus nicely brought home a very catchy flu from school this week....thank you Mike for sharing so well! He had the flu on Tuesday and Wednesday, in time to both be better for Thursday's Halloween celebrations at school and to give it to the rest of the family for Thursday and Friday! Thursday Morning Mike wakes up and comes into our room to say " you guys....it's a school day!" Poor Mike had to get up, get his breakfast, see himself off to school....make his own lunch at noon....and his own supper in the evening! He did very well...good to know....he even made himself an omlette for supper by himself :).

The kids had fun trick or treating in our warm weather. It was somewhere around 15 degrees outside to start with and by the time they came home I think it was still 12 degrees! This year Jules decided to trick or treat in the country with a friend and had a great time, she was able to accept and eat the popcorn balls from the neighbors of the family she went with. I think she had 3 popcorn balls and 2 candy apples. Thunder was a Pumpkin..

Mike "The clown with a chainsaw" and his hooligan friends
Randy was not Captain Jack this year since he had the flu. He usually goes into the Grade 2 class and reads a story of "Poor Joe" who loses all of his body parts one at a time, unfortunatley Captain Jack was losing his lunch at the time:).
We are all getting better now and have realized how our house has managed to get a little hmmm...messy. So that is all it seems we have been doing is cleaning, sleeping, clean and putting away the Halloween stuff.
We have decided to put all of our little bags of chips together and watch a movie tonight as well as use all of our choc bars to make a choc fondue. Hopefully this will help the candy supply decrease! Mike weighed his candy and tells me he has 9 lbs! Julia's weighs in at 8 lbs. Wow.
Other fun things we did latley: Mike's Football windup for the year

Mike's Football wind up was this week....we had a buffet, burgers, and pics....kids had a good time!
