Our house in the middle of the ....: A New School Year!

Wow, it seems as though summer has flown by! I am sure this was due to holidaying, having fun, (except ofcourse for Lightning) and possibly from the lack of sleep during August from taking the puppy outside 2 times in the middle of the night made part of the summer a blur. Disciplining ourselves to actually go to bed at a descent time and get up by 6:30 is a feat in itself but we are trying. Mike however,has nicely developed a sore throat/ cold, and believes he is superman ...he can still go to bed late, get up early, play as hard as he can, practice football three nights a week, and play a game every Sunday and says he is "fine". Oh, and blowing his nose is also out of the question :(.

Julia is happy to have her laptop from school back! Grade 7 so far has meant homework the first week back at school! They dove right in! She has been volunteering at the local Pet Supply Shop after school for her "Leadership" class and is excited about starting industrial Arts. She has some pretty cool extra curricular classes.

Randy's surgery was very successful and his knee is feeling great! He is back at work, really busy.....but happy to be there....as long as he stays west of Thunder Bay....time changes apparently really suck.

I am still getting up with the 47 lb bundle of fur atleast once maybe twice a night....however...she has graduated to an enclosed kennel at night and is so lazy that she doesn't mind at all. I actually think she is more relaxed and happier in it. This week I managed to pull a muscle in both shoulders about two days apart taking her downstairs to "pee". I am sure it is because I am half asleep, picking up a heavy deadweight, and going downstairs(quickly) as she starts to climb over my shoulder may have something to do with it. We need to practice running from the bottom of the stairs outside without making any mistakes on the way to the door...if she wasn't so lazy and decided to go outside before she was over full that would really be nice...but she waits until the very last moment to decide she should go out. We then slowly have to try to walk from the top of the stairs but going down the stairs for her doesn't go quickly and she will definitly stop to pee! What fun....I am determined it will all be worth it eventually.

I am back at the Gym finally....my right ankle and fibula are still bizarrely sore when I run or elliptical and so I am still biking alot and slowly starting to elliptical. I can't believe it is sore so long....I should start swimming or deep water running . Unfortunatley, energy levels are dwindling and it has been hard to get back to it.....however, caffiene levels continue to rise!
