Happy New Year ...Merry Ukranian Christmas...and all of that great stuff!

So far our new year has brought us some new "things"...

Randy has had a little too much time off in December and spent it surfing the net and reading up on what vehicle would be able to pull his travel trailer. He is not so fond of facebook, however, he seems to spend endless hours looking on canadatrader.com, ebay motors, and numerous other websites! This should now come to an end since he has found a new truck only 10 minutes away! (A little different from the Landcruiser which came from California) Hooray!

Now, we are conscious of the environment, do our part to recycle, walk and bike if we can instead of drive however, when you are pulling a trailer...bigger is apparently better. I guess we need a truck this large in order to pull our trailer from here to there and back again.
So here it is: I think Randy just likes to say ....King Ranch

Just so you know...it is NOT burgundy, for I believe you should be older than 65 to have a burgundy vehicle....oops..( I think Glenn's is burgundy, but it is a VW and that is different, older people don't own VW's, yes that is right, well usually.).

Our truck is "copper".

Now because the truck is deisel and the Landcruiser is not, I am left driving this beast. I cannot complain as it nicely heats up my butt as I am freezing cold! Another bonus is....it is reliable (very important) and it even beeps if you are to back into something! (also very important!)

You would think it would be hard to get this beast stuck anywhere, however, Randy has already proved this wrong! We took it out to the fireworks New Year's Eve and managed to get ourselves stuck as we pulled off the road to park. We were stuck....the fireworks started and we watched from our parking spot. We watched the fireworks from our truck and then piled in as many people as we could into the back bed of the truck for weight and got ourselves out! Randy was sure we weren't stuck we just need sand bags ( or 10 people) in the back.

Our house is filled with the smell of onions, bacon, and cabbage! mmmm! Cabbage Rolls..
We will be celebrating with family and friends on the weekend.

Srozhdestvom Kristovym!

or

Merry Christmas!
