Our trip to Waskesiu was quick but very productive! The weather was great except for a half dozen trees or so falling down around us. The wind picked up and a few dead, rather tall trees fell down about our loop. The kids were getting so concerned they thought they should help pull down any that were around our trailer. They managed to rope up a tree (dead tree) and pull it down with mike pulling the rope on the back of his bike! When the tree actually cracked and started to fall Mike jumped off his bike and ran! Awesome pic of him sprinting away with a bewildered look on his face, unfortunatley nobody had a camera! That began the community service of "lets look for trees to pull down".
Our alternator nicley konked out at Prince Albert, on the long weekend at 5:00 pm! Amazingly, and for just an amazing price tag, we had it fixed at the GM dealership in an hour and were on our way by 6pm! Great service!
The ice was still on the main part of Waskesiu and was pushed up on the beach at the Main Beach and on Beaver Glen Beach. This was pretty cool to see, walk on, and for us not so light people and dogs! fall through. Randy survived with just a few cuts up his legs....smart alleck! He came back bl
