Wow....I am not sure how it happened but as soon as Randy left for work on Thursday our lives went into overdrive!...One parent at the wheel!
I am not sure it is healthy to be this busy but we have survived :)...I think!
Mike and Randy went fishing this week as Randy figured Mike should go with the "boys" (what's that skip school??) So....Mike, Uncle Darryl, and Randy went out fishing on Wednesday. About an hour and a half later I get a phone call from Randy....drifting in the boat in the middle of the lake. The boat had started smoking and wouldn't restart. Once they got home...lets see, Randy was wet and cold, his cell phone had fallen in the lake, and the boat was broken. What a day! Later we found out it was catch and release anyway and they couldn't even bring home the fish!
I think Mike may have had some informative conversations and new "interesting" words from Uncle Darryl.
Next day, Mike has a sore throat! Mean Mom made him go to school!
That is before we got crazy busy.
We had a baseball game Thursday night! lots of fun....hot when we got there and we could have been wearing parkas by the time we left. (Alberta for you!) We biked home in a thunderstorm!
Friday we had to deliver papers....me with a very sore foot, hoping acupuncture the day before was going to help somewhat as it seemed to last week....NOT. Last week I thought I was starting to heal as it was feeling much less weak! I obviously should have been giving it a longer rest period :( After our papers we headed out to supper with friends and off to see Extreme Rock... as Julia's friend Austin and his brother were both singing in it! After some very interesting bands, outfits, ....hm.... some excellent guitar and drumwork, and ofcourse watching Austin perform in his pink shirt and thongs(on his feet!)...we were exhausted.
I am not sure but why but both the kids were up just after 7am!!
Good thing, as they had to finish they're papers before the next crazy day began! The kids had swimming this morning (last class, thank goodness) and both passed. Wow! Julia is now out of Levels and her next course will be Bronze Medallion although she isn't allowed to do this level until she is 13. Mike passed level 8 did an awesome job as well!
After eating our lunch in the truck, the kids had just enough time to change and run off to a baseball game. Julia had some really good hits and they tied it up at 12 - 12. Twenty minutes later were off to a Birthday Party! I am thinking some dozing may have happened during the movie they went to see but maybe not as it was Indiana Jones. After supper out with the party and a football game in the park, I am sure they are going to be out cold within an hour!
If they don't sleep in tomorrow I am not sure what I will do!
Tomorrow....we only have football camp ...which just started for the month of June only. This is not so bad as it is only once a week for an hour and a half. Mike is very revved about this as he misses football a lot. Probably as much as he misses his coaches who are amazing at what they do.
After all of this.... I remember...It is Mom's Birthday! I call her and she answers..."Happy Birthday" ....smart Alleck!
Julia's Breaststroke
Julia Passes Level 10....I think she was suprised!
Mike pleased to have passed level 8
Julia totally fits in with the Boy's Team!
Swing Batter, Batter, Swing Batter!
Mike and Randy checking the oil...hm. maybe we need to check more??
Wow...is this the Eighties
The Blitzkrieg Band
The "Shifty's" looking a little Shifty!

Awesome job guys you did "Swimmingly"!!
