Not often do we skip a Taekwon Do class and so Monday I felt a little guilty as we were trying to catch up with the time change and decided to stay home. Part way into the evening I get a phone call from the instructor saying "get your butt over here" to get our blue stripes that we were to get.....well we all stayed home and thought we'll just get them on Wednesday. Well, about a 1/2 hour later, I'm relaxing in the tub....and I hear the doorbell ring....and again....I hear " Jacque, get your butt out of the tub!" Honestly, I thought wow, she is mean! and actually came over to give me heck! Well, it wasn't Beth but another friend....I did laugh at myself though because I really did jump out of the tub. I know Beth can be grumpy but not that grumpy:) ha(..well maybe she can). So tonight at TKD I paired up with Mike....who may be a little short for me but whatever. We were doing turning kicks and our partners were holding pads....Mike did great, until I was corrected about something with my kick and as I corrected myself, I kicked a little higher....higher than the pad! oops! I smacked poor Mike right in the chest below his neck! at least I didn't get him in the mouth! Great hit, but not for Mike! Did I feel bad....and he was sore, grumpy, and is fairly determined to get me back even if it was a big accident. Good thing he is so tough!
