Happy Birthday Mike! Mike is 10 years old today....going on 15:). We took him out to lunch at the Olive Garden, sang to him :) and then out for a family walk with the dogs.... We had to postpone his birthday as most of the kids coming were all playing hockey in other towns this weekend. Instead, Mike went to the Neighbor's birthday and went swimming at the Pool. He was hardly out of the pool and said his stomach hurt....then did everything he could to not whoof his cookies on the way home. So far, so good...he hasn't hurled yet:). Interestingly, we all got somewhat of a stomach ache after the Olive Garden today, hm. Maybe it is all just a coincidence as Julia's friend left the same b'day party throwing up before leaving the pool and later the Birthday boy also chucked!.... lots of germs just a flying around here!
So we are planning a party next weekend, swimming ofcourse! I't's either that or laser tag...I pick swimming!!
...we had to look everywhere for his present, which we found finally in Saskatoon. Thank you to Grandpa Willie for sending it on the bus!
I went for a run today while the kids were swimming.....I haven't run outside for about a year or so, only on the treadmill and the eliptical. It was great, I love running outside! Not really used to hills though and I ran through a coulee and ofcourse turned around and ran back again, I think I went 5 1/2 km... give or take a little. I have to do this more often, unfortunatley, my ankle feels weak.
If the cat can fit...so can I!
