I have registered my first 5 k run of the year! I am running in the TourdeAirdrie...the run to race against family violence on April 20th. Unfortunatley, Randy isn't home that day, but...I have successfully recruited my neighbor to walk/run with the kids....:), hooray! Actually, she very much wanted to do it for herself. Julia and her friend have been getting pledges from around our neighborhood and have been doing amazingly well! Mike is just happy to go along with them...pledges are an inconvenience for him, I think he would rather build forts in the trees or ride his go cart down the hill. I took the kids out today for about a 6K walk with the dogs to show them that it is a piece of cake...and they shouldn't be concerned, they actually walked the same as the dogs...pretty much all over the place so they probably put on more than me. Under the knife on Friday the 13th! Hm....I could find better things to do on that day!



Randy has got his surgery date for well,.....Friday the 13th in June....



We will have a weekend in Banff while Randy is under the knife....this should make for a good summer after we take care of the first two weeks of recovery. We will take the whole summer to simply relax,holiday, and recover...hoping we don't have anymore major surgeries like this.
And so begins the "summer of Randy"!
